E'E's Ka'a, Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) Bertoni, - a native type of the Northern Zone of East Region of Paraguay.

With distribution of information on the nature and the real and potential uses of the beginnings sweeteners of this plant, its commercial culture it gained changeable importance in Brazil, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, EUA (California) and, logically, in Paraguay. In the first cuatros the mentioned countries, the strong impulse in production of this vegetable look by means of extraction, distillation and crystallization of its main chemical components which are already used in a wide range of the products intended for human consumption met.
